Future F1 Tracks: Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya Circuit
Saudi Arabia is building a new circuit at Qiddiya, near Riyadh, designed by Tilke with a corner that rises high above the ground. The designer says the opening and first F1 race are planned for 2028; press reports say it could slip to 2029. Until it is ready and approved by the FIA, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix stays at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which hosts the 2027 race on 19-21 March.
Street Circuits vs Permanent Tracks: What It Means for Fans

|---|---|---|
| Street circuit | Monaco, Singapore, Baku, Las Vegas, Jeddah | Close to hotels and transport, but tight access, security gates and few views per seat |
| Hybrid | Madrid (Madring), Miami, Albert Park, Montreal | Mix of public roads and fixed facilities; usually good public transport |
| Permanent circuit | Silverstone, Spa, Suzuka, Monza, Portimão, Red Bull Ring | Big general admission areas and better views, but often far from cities with heavy traffic |
