COTA has not published set times for Maroon 5 or Post Malone. Its event guide lists Alesso at 5:30 PM on Sunday. The race is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, so the Amphitheater show starts after the finish. COTA's lineup page lists no headline concert for Thursday, October 22.
Which tickets include the concerts
COTA's lineup page says each race ticket includes access to the Germania Insurance Super Stage for the Friday and Saturday concerts, and to the post-race performance at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater on Sunday.
- **Race ticket required:** COTA says all concert-goers must buy a Formula 1 United States Grand Prix ticket to be eligible for a concert upgrade, and F1 Experiences says that concert tickets do not include entry to the circuit.
- **General admission:** COTA's venue policy says General Admission race tickets grant access to the General Admission areas for the Super Stage shows.
- **Single-day tickets:** COTA sells single-day tickets, and the listings name that day's performer: Maroon 5 on Friday, Post Malone on Saturday and Alesso on Sunday.
- **Sunday:** The Grand Prix Sunday ticket listing mentions the Alesso concert as part of the day.
Concert upgrades and add-ons
If you do not want to stand on the general admission lawn, COTA sells two upgrade types for the Super Stage shows. F1 Experiences sells a third option.
- **Concert Floor Upgrade:** Standing room in front of the stage, on the racetrack. F1 Experiences says front-of-stage position is first-come, first-served.
- **Reserved Seating:** A seat between General Admission and the standing floor. F1 Experiences lists reserved seats for Saturday only.
- **Loge Boxes:** F1 Experiences sells these, with a raised viewing position and complimentary beverages, in groups of 12. When we checked, its Friday/Saturday concert add-on page showed sold out.
- **How to buy:** COTA says upgrades can be added at checkout, or through your Account Manager if you already hold tickets. Its venue policy says upgrades are available through Ticketing at (512) 655-6300 or a Box Office during race weekend.
- **Wristbands:** You need a wristband to enter the upgrade areas. Maroon 5 wristbands are available from Friday morning, Post Malone wristbands from Saturday morning. Redeem them at the Ticketmaster Box Offices (Grand Plaza or Main Grandstand) or the Guest Services tents at Turn 9 or in the infield.
COTA does not list upgrade prices on the pages we reviewed. Check the ticket page for current pricing and availability.
Practical tips for concert nights
- **Plan around the support races:** The last scheduled on-track session on Friday is the F1 Academy opening race, ending at 6:25 PM. On Saturday it is the Porsche Carrera Cup race, ending at 6:35 PM. COTA says Super Stage gates open about 1.5 hours after on-track activity ends that day, so headline sets start in the evening. Times are subject to change.
- **Know your entrance:** For the Super Stage, general admission enters through the Infield Entrance near Tunnel 2 and The Ranch, or the entrance between Turns 10 and 11. Upgrade holders use the Infield Entrance near Tunnel 2 and The Ranch. Sunday's Amphitheater entrance is at the Grand Plaza.
- **Upgrade-area carry rules:** COTA allows only a clear 1-gallon re-sealable bag, a clear tote up to 12 x 12 x 6 inches or a small clutch in the Floor and Loge areas. Lockers are available at the entrance to the upgraded areas.
- **Getting home:** COTA warns that travel home will likely take longer than average. Shuttles run from the Travis County Expo Center and Waterloo Park. Rideshare pickup is at the North McAngus lot, and rideshare vehicles are not permitted on COTA Blvd during race weekend. Complimentary trams run to the Grand Plaza front gates.
- **Alesso timing:** With a 3:00 PM race start and a 5:30 PM show listed, you can go straight from the podium celebration to the Amphitheater. If you leave right after the race, you join the heaviest exit traffic of the weekend.
Free daytime music: The American Soundtrack
Between sessions, COTA runs The American Soundtrack, a series of smaller acts on The Ranch and La Cantina stages, with DJs at La Cantina, Lonestar Land and the Paddock. Examples on COTA's lineup page include BARTLY on Friday at 10:15 AM, Midnight Navy on Saturday at 10:30 AM and Gina Chavez on Sunday at 1:45 PM. COTA's page does not explicitly say whether these acts are included with every ticket. Confirm before planning around them.
